Book Review of “Swept Away” by Mary Connealy

Book Review of “Swept Away” by Mary Connealy

This was a good tale. It is a fun, clean western romance. I liked Ruthy. She is practical, intrepid and determined. The history woven into Luke’s backstory was really neat. Luke and his friends were POWs during the Civil War at Andersonville. I had never heard of the idea of regulators before. I also hadn’t considered that some people would travel around and sign up for the enlistment money than do that again in a different area where they were not recognized. The range war was a good backdrop for the story and created quite a bit of suspense. I also really enjoy the moments of humor that Mary Connealy weaves into her stories.
