Historical Romantic Comedy

Book Review of Stuck Together by Mary Connealy

This is a good story. Mary Connealy’s stories always have comedy mixed in and this one is no different. In fact this story opens up with a brawl scene that started off when the heroine, Tina Cahill, is picketing outside the town saloon. It is really funny. This is the 3rd book in the Trouble in Texas series. It continues with the group of friends we have met in the other books, now it is Vince Yates turn. There is a bit of a serious edge when his family comes to town and they must face his mother’s mental health issues. However, it is still interspersed with humor. When Vince and Tina get close, maybe heading for a kiss, the 1st two times, they are close to a door and someone comes barging in behind them and they knock heads. Jonas and Vince’s younger sister also have a romance in this story, but it is just talked about here and their briefly. It could have been made into its own story.
